Thankful to our teachers!

To show the amazing teachers at my son's preschool
how thankful we are of them,
one of the moms organized a holiday gathering
of sweets for the staff.

Parents brought in yummy goodies and the teachers picked a number that coresponded to a treat
that they got to take home for the holiday weekend to share with their family.

I brought in yummy pumpkin pie spiced sugar cookies iced with pumpkin pie royal icing.
pumpkins, turkeys, acorns, leaves
and they were YUMMY!

Vintage Diane

These cookies were for a friend
whose Mother in law was turning a young 70.
I made a few dozen of these adorable
wine shape bottles for favors for the party.
And I also made a delicious cake to honor her husband whose has the same birthday as his mother.
He went to ASU, so I was honored to decorate an Appalachian A on his side of the cake and for the birthday girl a Vintage Diane wine bottle.
Happy Birthday!

G is for GHOSTS!

My son has to bring in an item each week
for show and tell that starts with the letter of the week.
So a few weeks back it was the letter G!
Well I had promised him cookies for the letter C,
but never around to it.
So I decided to go with a Ghost cookie with a Green G!
BOO!
Just in time for Halloween too!

Narja's Baby Shower

For our dear sweet friends who are expecting
their first little one in just a few weeks.
I was honored to help co-host a baby shower this weekend. The baby's room has a  nautical theme
and when I was browsing for ideas
a few months back I found this
ADORABLE cake topper on Etsy.
I just had to get it.  So I threw the cake together
based on the cake topper.
The topper is made from cold porcelein
and can be saved and displayed in the baby's room.
The cake!!
The cake topper!!
The table set up
yummy baby theme cookies I made too!
The momma and daddy to be!!
the back of the cake
the side
The C is for their last name since we don't know the baby's first name yet.

Momma and her cake!
Congratulations!!!!  Can't wait to see Baby C when he gets here!!!!  :-)

Zebras and Leopards, oh my!

What little girl doesn't love pink
and top that off with pink leopard print!
Watch out, this cake has it all!
Couldn't get away with just a cake
so we had to do some zebra print cookies too!
Happy Birthday Brooke
Now the best part is when you cut into this cake,
it's not just leopard print on the outside,
but it's leopard print on the inside!!

Still waiting on pictures from mom,
but will post those soon!!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

This unique request came a young man who didn't want a cake.  He wanted to have a rice krispie bat as his birthday treat!  His sister had a rice krispie bat on top of her cake back during the summer and he just wanted
the bat and the baseball!
Both bat and ball were made from rice krispies and covered in fondant
These cookie favors were for his friends
on his basball team!
Happy Bithday Jack!

A Pirate Party!

I can not believe it, but my baby boy is 5 years old!
What just happened?
A minute ago he was just a little baby so cute and now he's 5!  I know all parents say that as each year passes,
but he's the baby and such a momma's boy!
Well, this year we went with a Pirate theme...
and oh what fun we, I mean I, had with this!
Here is the cake, a 3D pirate theme cake
I LOVE how these turned out, so cute!!
The food table, we had cannon balls (cheese puffs), catch of the day (goldfish) pirate cookies, sword fruit (fruit on a sword toothpick) pirate punch (lemonade)
Birthday Boy!

Our boys are only 13 days apart,
so I feel very blessed to have made all 5 of his birthday cakes!
I also made some special space ship cookies as well.
Happy Birthday Liam!
