A Pea in the Pod!
These sweet cupcakes were for a friend
who is having baby number 3!
Her friends hosted an AMAZING shower
and I was asked to make her favorite cake - almond!
With the theme of pink and green and a Pea in the Pod,
we went with cupcakes and an adorable pea in the pod topper just for the momma to be!

So we created this special cake for his 2nd birthday!
I love the back came out with the details to the train!

CAKE, Word World Style....
Anyone with little kids who has watched PBS cartoons
has seen this adorable cartoon called Word World.
Try saying that 3 times fast!
A close friend of my husband
asked me to make his sons birthday cake.
Wyatt LOVES watching Word World and what better way than to have a Word World cake!
YUM!
This design is based on the design that Pig in the story makes when he is spelling CAKE.
To understand the cartoon,
everything in the show is created
using the letters that spell the character or item out.

together with just those letters!
Though my kids don't watch it as much,
it is still a cute show to watch
and it teaches some great lessons too!

MONSTER!!
Aaagghhhh!! It's a MONSTER!!!
Well, not a real monster, but an edible one!
I've seen this idea floating around online for awhile and when asked to help create a special cake for a friends husband I thought of this fun silly cake. And well even though this was for a February birthday, we went for it!! I know his girls just LOVED the cake too! The eyes were cake pops and the hair was pulled buttercream "grass".

Mario!
My niece turned 5 years old at the beginning of February.
And her FAVORITE thing to do now is play
Super Mario Brothers on her DS.
So of course the theme to her birthday
was a Wii Super Mario theme party.
I was asked to make chocolate Mario mustache lollipops
and Wii remotes as favors.
The remotes were made from rice krispie treats
covered in white chocolate, YUM!

One Direction x3
This very popular cake was first made for a friend
whose daughter LOVES One Direction.
One Direction, commonly known as 1D is a British boy band, with the exception that one of their members
is from Scotland.
So the cake was theme with a British flag
and a Scottish flag.
Now this popular cake design was seen by several of her friends and everyone was calling asking for one!
So I made two more, for two sisters a few weeks apart.
What a fun cake to get to do 3 times!!
